Having completed a design internship in Sydney, following graduation in NZ with a Bachelor of
Design degree from Massey University, I am seeking an opportunity to utilise my design
capabilities and become a valued member of an organisation that designs and develops great
products.
During my final year of study, I chose an ambitious marine design project which I managed from
initial brief through to a final presentation to a panel of judges. This culminated in me being
awarded 1st Class Honours for my consistent high standards throughout my studies.
My marine design was later presented at a design exhibition at Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour and
has been recognised in a feature article in Boating NZ magazine.
Another recognition of my design ability came in 2011 when I was selected to take part in a Honda
Motorcycle design competiton being run by Italian Designer Paolo Cuccagna. The design I
submitted was judged the favourite by the Honda review panel and has since been chosen to be
built as a scale model.
Following the completion of the Honda project I researched design companies abroad to further
develop my skill set. After an approach to Blue Sky Design in Sydney I was offered a design
internship which I have recently completed. During the internship I worked on numerous projects
which gave me the opportunity to further develop and extend my design capability.

Mostsignificantly, I had the opportunity to lead my own brief, culminating in a sustainable electric
bicycle design called the BlueSkyBike.

This concept has subsequently gained international
exposure through online reviews, interviews and magazine articles, and has recently been
recognised as a NZ top ten entry in the International James Dyson Awards.
